Alanya Archaeological Museum (Alanya Müzesi)
Located in Alanya’s city center, this is the closest traditional indoor museum. It houses a striking collection of Bronze Age, Phrygian, Urartian, Greek, Roman, and Seljuk artifacts. The absolute highlight of the museum is the remarkably preserved, 52 cm-tall bronze statue of Heracles, dating back to the 2nd century BC, which is displayed in its own dedicated room.

Alanya Castle & Ichkale (Alanya Kalesi)
While technically an open-air archaeological site, this sprawling 13th-century Seljuk fortress functions as a massive living museum.
Perched high on a rocky peninsula, you can explore the citadel (İçkale), defensive walls, historic stone cisterns, and the ruins of a Byzantine church.

Side Open-Air Museum & Ancient City
If you head west instead of east, you will find the ancient resort town of Side.
The entire peninsula is a massive free-to-walk historical reserve featuring a monumental fountain (Nymphaeum), colonnaded Roman streets, and the iconic beachfront Temple of Apollo. However, the two primary restricted-entry museum sites require tickets:

Alanya Atatürk House Museum
A traditional three-story Ottoman-style mansion where Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of modern Turkey, stayed during his visit to Alanya in 1935.
The ground floor displays his personal effects, photographs, and historical telegrams, while the upper floors are beautifully staged to reflect a traditional regional home with ethnographic art, vintage furnishings, and traditional clothing.
