Olympos Ancient City
Located slightly south of Kemer near Çıralı, Olympos is a mystical ancient city swallowed by dense forest and split by a mountain river flowing into the Mediterranean. It was an influential member of the ancient Lycian League and a notorious pirate stronghold.
2026 Entry Price: €10 per person.
Operating Hours: 08:00 – 21:00 (Summer) / 08:30 – 17:30 (Winter).
Note: The ticket to the ruins also grants you access to the famous pebbled Olympos Beach, as the path to the shoreline winds directly through the archaeological zone.
Yanartaş (Mount Chimaera)
While not a traditional building museum, this unique historical and geological site features "eternal flames" fueled by natural gas venting from the rocky mountain.
In ancient times, these fires served as a natural lighthouse for sailors and inspired the myth of the fire-breathing Chimaera.
2026 Entry Price: Approximately €3 – €4 (payable in equivalent Turkish Lira at the trailhead).
Best Time to Visit: Hike up just before sunset. The trail takes about 20 to 30 minutes of uphill walking over uneven rock steps, so sturdy footwear and a flashlight or fully charged smartphone are mandatory.
